There’s a lot to take in here and while you’re enjoying a holiday dish with me in my Alexandria, VA kitchen keep in mind this is while I recover from 2 types of cancer. 2 surgeries, daily trips to Schar Cancer Center. Getting shots that the nurses didn’t know what they were but they were $3k each.
it’s taken 5 years to get my taste back after I was given a radioactive pill to zap the lymphoma and I do speak a little slower and lower since they took my thyroid out. Yes I found out I had 2 types of cancer after I asked my doctor for my pathology report.
So lucky to be here today to share I’m doing well now and lucky as a Chef we are judged on our food. Taste, presentation and consistency. Many wonder where I went. What happened to me and I continue to #CookWithYourHeart
This segment was very low budget. I had my girlfriend hold the camera and this is right at the beginning of Covid where we had to stay at home and try to keep ourselves useful.
Chef videos are way better now and frankly “I am as only as good as the last dish I put out”
So hope you enjoy watching a long time Chef, trying to be “ok”, after a life altering event, and with no taste 🤣🤣🤣
By the way I married my Dayana, Heidi (my Texas Heeler ) is amazing and we live in GA and are “happily ever after”
